Expected to open in 2026, the new Western Sydney Airport is said to generate 20,000 direct and indirect jobs while offering capacity to 10 million assengers.

The government opened the doors to businesses interested in supplying the project on Tuesday. Over 500 representatives from a wide range of industries gathered in Penrith to learn more about the opportunities up and coming with this significant infrastructure project.

Akuna Services attended the tendering information session to learn more. Manager, Warren Ratliff, expressed the importance of Western Sydney Airport to Akuna Services, “To introduce local industry, local employment, local solutions – I think is really critical.”

Akuna Services is located in Pendle Hill on the western side of Sydney – prime proximity for a local service provider. They hope to win contract(s) to provide training, servicing and product vital to the workplace safety and environmental compliance aspects critical in all areas of operation of the Western Sydney Airport.
