Description

IBC Spill Pallet – Safe and Compliant Containment for Hazardous Liquids

The IBC Spill Pallet provides an economical and portable solution for managing spills from large containers such as IBCs and tanks. Made from UV-stabilised polyethylene (LLDPE), it resists corrosion and chemical damage, making it ideal for industrial and chemical storage. Its low-profile design allows easy access for dispensing, while forklift pockets make relocation simple. The spacious deck and high-capacity sump help you meet EPA spill containment requirements.

  • Durable Build: All-polyethylene construction resists rust and chemical wear.
  • Forklift-Friendly: Integrated pockets allow easy movement when empty.
  • Space-Saving Design: Compact footprint (1574mm x 1574mm) fits tight areas.
  • Secure Deck: 1320mm x 1320mm platform holds IBC tanks securely.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What are the dimensions of the forklift pockets?

Can I move this pallet with an IBC on top?
No, we do not recommend moving loaded spill pallets. Doing so may compromise safety and structural integrity.

Why should I choose the Ultra-IBC Spill Pallet Plus over the Ultra-IBC Spill Pallet?
The Ultra-IBC Spill Pallet Plus has a lower profile of 711mm, is forklift-friendly, and offers a more budget-friendly option.

Why might I choose the Ultra-IBC Spill Pallet instead?
If you require a larger sump capacity or higher weight tolerance, the Ultra-IBC Spill Pallet is a better fit.

What size IBC can I store on the Ultra-IBC Spill Pallet Plus?
It accommodates standard plastic IBCs commonly used in Australia, which measure approximately 1200mm (L) × 1000mm (W) × 1160mm (H) and hold up to 1000 litres.

Is the Ultra-IBC Spill Pallet Plus forkliftable?
Yes, it includes forklift pockets on two sides for easy movement when empty.

Can I move the pallet with a full tank on top?
No, we advise against moving the pallet while loaded to avoid damage or spills.

Can it support IBCs with pedestal posts or just flat-bottom tanks?
It supports up to 3,855 kg of evenly distributed weight. For pedestal-post IBCs, we recommend placing steel plates (minimum 304mm × 304mm) under the feet to distribute the load more evenly.

What material is the Ultra-IBC Spill Pallet Plus made of?
It’s constructed from 100% polyethylene (LLDPE), offering excellent chemical resistance and durability.

Can I stack two IBCs on this pallet?
We don’t recommend stacking two full IBCs on this model. Instead, use the Ultra-IBC Spill Pallet, which supports up to 7,257 kg (UDL).

Is the Ultra-IBC Spill Pallet Plus available with a drain?
Yes, you can choose between a version with a drain (CHU1158) or without a drain (CHU1157).

What type of drain is used?
It features a threaded hole in the sidewall with a 19mm polyethylene plug using NPT threads.

Can I use this pallet outdoors?
Yes, it’s UV-resistant and won’t rust or corrode. However, rainwater can reduce sump capacity. To prevent this, consider:

  • Placing the pallet under cover or shade
  • Using the optional pull-over cover (CHU1159)
  • Upgrading to the Ultra-IBC Hard Top with a built-in rigid cover
  • Installing an Ultra-Self Bailer to filter clean water and block hydrocarbons

Are there any recommended accessories?
Yes, the Ultra-Bucket Shelf is a great addition. It slides into built-in grooves and captures spills during dispensing. If ordered with the pallet, we’ll install a bulkhead fitting to direct liquids into the sump.

What’s the purpose of the columns inside the sump?
These columns provide internal support. They must be installed correctly. If you need guidance, please contact our team.
