Description
The Akuna Flexible Floor Bunding is a practical and durable solution for effective spill containment in industrial and commercial environments. Designed for reliability, this system uses purpose-extruded foam encased in heavy-duty 900gsm yellow PVC to deliver strong chemical resistance and long-term performance.
For applications where PVC is not suitable, Flexible Floor Bunding can be manufactured using alternative geomembrane fabrics to suit specific chemical requirements.
Material and Chemical Resistance
- High grade 900gsm PVC with very good chemical resistance
- If PVC is not suitable for a chemical, bunding can be supplied in an alternative geomembrane fabric on request
50mm Height (ready for immediate dispatch)
Best for areas where you need easy access and want to minimise trip hazards, while still keeping spills contained.
Benefits
- Low profile means less obstruction
- Easy for forklifts and equipment to drive over
- Simple, practical design for shared spaces
Applications
- Walkways and pedestrian areas
- Warehouses with light vehicle movement
- Low speed forklift crossings
- Entry and exit points where taller bunds get in the way
Limitations
- Not suited for frequent drive-over use
- Holds less volume than higher bund options
75mm Height (ready for immediate dispatch)
Designed as the optimal drive-over option for general industrial use.
Benefits
- Triangular profile allows smoother drive-over
- Higher containment capacity
- Provides a clear visual edge without getting in the way
- A solid all-round option for most sites
Applications
- Warehouse work areas
- Regular forklift or pallet jack access
- Light industrial traffic zones
- Equipment bays and maintenance areas
Limitations
150mm Height (available on request)
Built for maximum containment, not drive-over access.
This option is best where compliance, higher risk liquids, and containment capacity take priority over movement through the area.
Benefits
- High containment capacity
- Strong, highly visible barrier
- Well suited for compliance and risk control
Applications
- High risk chemical storage areas
- Permanent installations
- EPA and WHS compliance zones
- Plant rooms, generator rooms, battery storage
- Areas where traffic can be directed around the bund
Limitations
| HEIGHT | RISK LEVEL | BEST FOR | DRIVE OVER SUITABILITY | APPLICATIONS | COMPATIBLE PRODUCTS |
| 50mm
(Low Profile) |
Low Risk | Simple containment lines with easy movement of people and equipment. Ideal where spills are infrequent and volumes are small. | Occasional low speed crossings where clearance allows |
|
|
| 75mm
(Medium Profile |
Medium Risk | A balance of containment height + drive-over capability. Suitable for areas with moderate spill risk and regular equipment use. | Most drive over friendly option for forklifts and pallet jacks at low speed |
|
|
| 150mm
(High Profile) |
High Risk | High-volume containment where preventing liquid escape is critical. Best for dedicated containment areas. Not suitable for drive-over. | Not intended for drive over |
