It is designed to only hold water for a short period of time in order to give the Ultra-Filter-Tex enough time to filter hydrocarbons. (NOTE: Ultra-Filter-Tex filters oils and other hydrocarbons from water very quickly. During heavy/fast rainfall, additional time can be beneficial).
- Does the Ultra-Filter Pad capture synthetic oils? The Ultra-Filter-Tex material used in the Ultra-Filter Pad is designed for the absorption of hydrocarbons and will not absorb synthetics.
- Can I buy liners separately? Yes, the Ultra-Filter-Tex liners are available separately. A complete unit does not need to be purchased every time.
